Everyone loves holidays as they often provide a much needed reprieve from work. Actually, most people count down the days on their calendars and strategically plan their vacations or outings at these times. One of the best things you can do is to simply plan a beach outing. There are very few people that don't enjoy going to beach as there are so many things for you to do there. If you have a pet you can use this opportunity for them to get some exercise and even teach your children how to fly a kite.

The next way you can spend your day is to throw a house party! Some may think this is a bit teenaged, however, since when do teenagers get to have all the fun? The best part is that you can legally enjoy alcohol and the company of your friends while you relive your younger days.

One last suggestion that you could do if you have an extended weekend, is to plan a short cruise or trip to another city. There are many economical cruises and places to see if you're on a budget. Seeing the world is a great way to recharge and bring new perspective into your life.
