A Beneficial Rule Set About Feeding Babies

Our children have no real say in what they eat; it all depends on what we choose to give them. By adopting a responsible attitude and giving them a good start in life they are likely to grow up string and healthy.

We all know that a mother's milk is the best start for a baby, but they can't be sustained on that only for very long. Once your baby is ready for solids, it's so easy to make up healthy meals for your child without spending a fortune on ready made stuff.

For a baby's first solid food, choose one kind of fruit and mash it up until is a fine paste. Remember how delicate your baby's digestive system will be and introducing too many new things at once will really upset it. Try a fruit that isn't acidic and will be gentle on their stomach; such as pear or papaya.

Once they have tried a variety of fruits they can be moved onto other things. Cereals are ideal, as are a thin broth. Once of the easiest foods is simply mashing together boiled potatoes and carrots.

Whatever you mash for your baby remember that it must be completely smooth and have nothing added, like sugar. It must be bland for your baby's body to be able to cope with it, so a mashed banana is perfect.

A good way to make a broth when your child is a bit older is to make it with organic chicken, but strain it so they get the goodness but there is no chance of choking on the pieces of chicken.

We all know how painful wind can be, so avoid the types of food that will give your baby wind. The main culprits are broccoli, cauliflower, onion, garlic and pulses.

Feeding your baby food that you have made yourself is very rewarding as you know what you are giving your baby and don't have any chemicals added. They are getting fresh and healthy food, thanks to you.
