The Refined Taste of Cristal Champagne

By Nathan Hall

Crystal Champagne has become a symbol of outrageous luxury but few appreciate its taste. Cristal is an incredibly loaded and dense sparkling wine which uncovers itself gradually, from the fruity fragrance to the mineral sensation that fills your mouth. In this article we're going to discuss about Champagne Crystal, what it means to our society and most important, the way it tastes like.

Champagne Cristal was first made by Louis Roederer for the Tzar Alexander II of Russia. Considered the first prestige cuvee in the world, the bubbly drink became one of the top champagnes today. It's a symbol of excess and waste. In the rappers world, holding two bottles of crystal champagne and spilling the precious drink on the floor is an ultimate gesture that shows your wealth. The Russian mobs and Japanese Yakuza consider it a worthy fashion accessory. However, none of these ways to appreciate it care for the taste and the aroma of the drink.

The Cristal Champagne Cuvee is produced from blended Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, usually there's a little more Pinot Noir (55%). The maturation lasts about 7 years. Usually it takes 10 years from gathering the grapes to buying the bottle from the store. The prestige cuvee is a very brut champagne, outstanding yellow colored combined with a very elusive but lasting moderate effervescence. The aromatic elegance of Chardonnay is the first to strike your tongue. When you first taste it, you feel the clean fruit, the lovely pollen and a pure effervescence. After drinking more, you'll feel a refined bouquet that reminds you of juicy fruits like mango and peach. The overall flavor is balanced and well defined.

The Rose Cristal is made of 40% Chardonnay and 60% Pinot Noir. It gets the color from the added Pinot Noir because the champagne house doesn't use the "saignee" method. The color is a nice shiny salmon pink. When you try a glass of rose Crystal, you feel aromas such of dried fruits, caramel and fresh almonds. The wine is delicate and glary. There is no singular flavor, it's a symphony of tastes, sometimes contrary flavors that produce an intense electrical touch. We urge you to drink it at every ocassion instead of keeping it in the icebox or cellar for maturing purposes, even if it's an aging wine, it's too good not to savor it.

Crystal Champagne is Louis Roederer's prestige cuvee. Sometimes people see it the most expensive sparkling wine worldwide, so Cristal champagne has attained its well deserved reputation. For anybody curious in trying it, you can always find a good crystal champagne price on the internet.

  1. To assess first-class wine and champagne, you're able to stay at the this shop, or you may merely examine that.
