By Marinda Zagel

When is the last time you sent something out to be shipped? Depending on the size and weight, you might have had to buy selection of boxes, envelopes, or some other kind of packages in order to make it happen.

If you're sending papers, small, or medium sized items, your best choice will be to go with a regular mail that either ships it by truck or airplane. The sooner you need it to arrive at its destination, the more it will cost you.

Have you given much thought to the type of mailing boxes that you'll be using? If you haven't, here are some of your best options. Take a look at these and you'll have a much better idea as to which one you'll need.

One of the most commonly used forms of packaging happens to be the large envelope with bubble wrap or some other kind of padding. This minimizes the risk for any breakage or other damage, and it happens to be cheap as well.

If you're sending something more along the lines of a poster, you might want to go with one of the longer tubes. These are usually made of cardboard and they come in many sizes to ensure that you can find a good fit.

There's no need to get too creative if you don't want to. The fastest means of finding a box might come from the post office, since they'll gladly sell you a box to ship your materials inside.

Sometimes there are more delicate items at hand. If you're sending something made of glass, it's all the more important that you go with something specialized for that purpose.

That's just about all there is to know about the different types of shipping boxes out there. Between envelopes, boxes, crates, and more, there's an entire world of packages out there waiting for you.
