Cooking is my life. There is no doubt that the adrenalin rush that it gives me is incomparable to anything else. With plenty kitchen gadgets to choose from, the most important for me is my blender.

There are a lot of styles and sizes to choose from when it comes to blenders, and can be made of polycarbonate, steel, glass or a combination of two or all of the items. The blender is commonly used to puree fruits and vegetable which is my main reason for having a blender. Typical uses of blenders are crushing ice, emulsification of mixtures, turning semi-solid food into thick mixture or smaller particles, combining and dissolving solid both liquid and solid ingredients, among others.

In stores, you are bound to see three different types of blenders. In making complicated recipes, hand-powered blenders may just be what you need. It is very simple to control giving you the ability to get the desired texture and consistency of the recipe that you are creating. It would definitely provide you with value for your money as well as ease of use.

Immersion blenders can be operated by hand and very light-weight. This is best suited for ingredients or recipes in smaller volumes. What is usually done is turning fruits into puree, for example, by putting the fruit directly into the glass, cup or bowl. What you commonly see in kitchens is what is commonly called the base and pitcher blenders. This style has different ways to combine your ingredients by opting to press one of the numerous buttons to chop, blend and more. It can hold more volumes to be combined and is considered to be more efficient in contrast to to the other blender types. More complex processing can be tolerated by this kind of appliance. The base of the blender is where the machine is. The top, commonly resembling a pitcher, which can be removed contains the blades that are controlled by the base.

When buying blenders, you may need to consider a few tips before you decide to do so. 1) Strength and Durability - Brands can indicate how durable a blender is.
