Are there Really Health Benefits for Drinking Coffee?

Some people choose not to drink coffee because of their own belief that it can cause negative health effects on their bodies. Yet recent research has shown that a moderate amount of coffee could be the key to helping reduce the risk of some serious illnesses and diseases. Of course many people simply drink coffee in an attempt to gain some alertness, energy and overall vigor throughout their day. Despite this positive research there are indeed some negative effects to drinking excessive amounts. We will talk about a few of the potential health effects coffee can have in this article.

Short term memory is one of the first positive effects many people experience from drinking coffee. Coffee beans contain an ingredient that actually stimulates short-term memory. This is widely abused by students facing exams.

You may be able to fight off cirrhosis of the liver if you are drinking coffee. This is a disease found in chronic liver disease patients whos healthy liver has become replaced by nodules and fibrous tumors. These nodules typically stop liver functionality completely over time. Many people will benefit from the anti-fibrotic qualities in coffee. Liver cancer incidences are significantly decreased with the link in caffeine.

You aren't likely to lose weight by adding sugar and cream to your coffee either.

In conclusion, drinking coffee in smaller amounts might be advantageous to your health. But, those people that are into drinking a lot of coffee should take note that there are bad health effects that could rise out of taking in too much caffeine. Moderation is the main ingredient to achieving a healthy balance.
