Originally, commercial establishments and restaurants were the only ones using deep fryers. On the contrary, commercial fryers can accommodate large orders at a time as they are designed with large capacity oil chambers. As such, these types of fryers are often seen in fast foods, restaurants, and other food establishments.

Though there are only two general types of deep fryers, these types can be purchased in a multitude of sizes, designs, features, as well as brands and models. Nonetheless, one of the important things to remember when using these tools is to identify the type of oil that will be used in cooking fried food so as to be able to identify the cooking time necessary in heating desired oil type.
