A Less Traditional Coffee

If you are a big coffee drinker and have never experimented with your coffee then you might like to try out some unique ways to make it instead of merely drinking it straight. They say variety is the zest of life so try and be experimental when you make your favorite cup of coffee.

Historically coffee is served black or with milk products and cream, nevertheless you may want to try some alternate options and experiment to make your own distinctive cup. In our home we are particularly fond of using ice cream in our coffee and although this is probably not a morning coffee, it does make a delightful alternative to a dessert or simply a good afternoon treat. You will need to make it using the freshest and strongest coffee beans you can and straight from the coffee machine. Though you can use instant it will not result in the very best taste.

Firstly brew the coffee in an espresso machine and preferably you will need to use a strong mix of coffee. If you grind your own beans in the coffee machine then this is also better, but freshly bought ground beans will be sufficient. Once it has brewed you must leave to cool slightly, best results are from coffee that is merely warm and not boiling.

After that take a scoop of vanilla ice cream, although home made ice cream is good, a great high quality shop alternative should be fine. Put the scoop of ice cream into a extra tall serving glass and after that add in the coffee, pouring lightly into the glass. If you prefer your coffee sweet then, you may need to sweeten it just before adding to the glass. Use brown sugar as this does not have an effect on the flavor of the coffee so much and can actually bring out the taste. Your ice cream should melt a little but not too much, you don't want it to soften too quickly and you should still have a solid scoop of ice cream in the bottom of the glass. Next you want to take a can of squirty cream and then squirt over the top of the coffee until you have a nice thick layer. After that sprinkle over some cocoa powder
