Origins of Place Names in Jakarta

Kampung Ambon, Menteng, Pondok Gede, Kebon Sirih, are the names of a place in the Capital. Who would have thought that behind these names is eventually stored history is used to name a place or street.

Glodok

According to the story, the name comes from the word grojok Glodok, namely the sound of water running from the shower. Market Genjing
